Full grown???? Hello my fellow yorkie lova's... Quick question, At what age is a yorkie considered full grown?? Sorry if someone already may have posted about this. |
I was told.... they are adult at age 2. |
Thank you for responding, I was told at age 1. I kind've want Sam to stay the weight he is now, I dont want him bigger. Oh well. |
I was told they stop growing @ 6mths  I got the same answer from two different Breeders  Minnie did stop growing @ 6mths old....& Scamp looks like he is still growing  |
Anywhere between 6 months and 9 months usually.. But they are still a puppy.. And at any age they can gain weight. |
I have wondered age they stop growing too. I don't remember with my first girl as it was 15 years ago. Mine is 7 1/2 mos old now I hope she won't get much bigger. She has only gained a pound in the last 2 1/2 months. :aimeeyork |
Everyone says they told at age 1. But I think it's age two. Toki is 1 month ago from turning 2 years old and his gaining more weight. He is fit not fat but growing. |
I think they stop growing close to age 1 yr and then can still put on weight. |
size wise it's normally 6-8 months but they will continue to gain weight as they get older. |
I also believe it is 2 years old...I have read in many yorkie books that if you double the weight at 12 wks old this is the weight your full grown yorkie will be. |
