Training treats for 2 month old yorkie? looking for some suggestions for training treats for a 2 month old. we have nutro natural choice and he likes them but was wondering if there were any other suggestions. |
Google "Nutro Consumer Affairs". There's been a lot of issues w/ Nutro, just letting you know. :) As for treats, Zuke's Mini Naturals are awesome. They are small and meaty, and only 2 calories per treat. Most dogs love them. Wellness also has a line of soft treats that can be broken up easily. |
Gerber Puffs. They come in a few different flavors. My boys love the banana. |
Our Teddi absolutely loves Wellness Just for Puppy treats! He goes crazy for them! Also Blue Buffalo has Blue Bits and he loves those as well! Teddi is now almost 6 mos but has been eating the Wellness treats since he has been with us at 4mos. :) |
I like the Zuke's Mini Naturals, too. They are small, and soft enough that they can be broken into even tinier pieces. Petco carries them, but I think their price is a bit high. You can find much better prices for them online. |
We use Zuke's mini naturals too. Our dog loves them and we've been using them since she was about 2 1/2 months old. We actually cut them into quarters and she doesn't know the difference. That way they last longer and it's not too big for her to chew. |
We are extremely lucky to have a YT member here....her name is: chattiesmom and she sells treats called "Yorkie Yummies". Her website is: Foxypups.com Then look under "Yorkie Yummies" They come in several flavors: Liver, chicken, carrot, banana.... |
Good old plain cheerios. Your pup will go crazy for them. And they are cost effective! : ) |
I have used Cherrios and the Gerbers puffs. They do work great! |
I use 1/4 of a Cheerio. They should be able to eat/swallow the training treat without chewing it much. Should be a quick reward. Not like a regular treat. |
my babies are a a little older, 15 mo old, but absolutely go crazy for chicken nibbles, 100 % natural chicken breast. they look like dehydrated chicken that are the size of a nickel. I find them expensive $20 lb, but a lot in the package. my dogs would like a little of these vs a lot of just about anything else, so i buy them on a reg basis. good luck |

We use Cheerios and also there are little dried apple pieces that they make for babies and I get those as well. |
I've used Blue Bits, Wellness Bites, cherrios and small pieces of cheese. In fact, I still use these and Sasha is 3 years old, still loves them all! |
I like the Zukes, Wellness and Solid Gold Treats. Basically, anything soft. In agility, I also use chicken breast or lean beef especially when training something new or difficult. |
