Neko goes to petsmart too I tried them first and they were the highest but thanks to all the help I received from you all I found a vet that will do it for 220.00 I made an appointment to meet with the vet so I can check things out before I hand over my baby. Thanks Again

Baby teeth taken out
 
I just had this done last week and was floored. Every yorkie I have had has had this problem but the cost just keeps going through the ROOF!!!

Here is a list of my cost:

$78.00 1- Chem10 Profile
20.50 1 Perioperative Analgesic
42.50 IV & Gas
11.60 Hospitalization and care
29.50 Ampicillin Injectable 400mg
70.00 Dental Radiographs
25.00 4 Bupivacaine Nerve block $50. discount- 25.00
75.00 4 Extraction retained canaine teeth $100. discount -25.00
70.00 7 Extraction tooth single root - $119. discount 49.00
17.35 Fecal Floation Exam
21.40 Torbugesic (pain killer)
17.50 Amoxicillin
1.97 1A/D Prescription diet

Total with tax $480.95 :eek::eek:

I think this a lot of $$ for an hour or so work!! But I would do it again and again because I love my Yorkies!!;)

well Neko got his teeth taken out today the experience at the vet was great but I hated leaving him he doesn't seem to be in any pain but he does have pain meds. He doesn't start taking them until the morning. Well he has his teeth fixed and I didn't break the bank to do it. A total expense of 190.00

Glad everything went well and Neko seems to be doing well. Poor Hot Rod had 14 teeth removed when he was neutered at 6 1/2 mos. He had double rows of teeth.

It would be <$400 here for a dental, baby teeth extractions, pain meds, Iso, Propofol, IV fluids, hospitalization, and blood work. This wouldn't include xrays because they are baby teeth (don't absolutely have to do them when they aren't adult teeth although it's a good idea).

$600-$1200 is perfectly acceptable for dental work, but that is more for adult teeth, xrays, sealants, periodontal disease, etc.
