Tummy growling...tummy ache? Latte has been "off her feed" for a couple of days in the last week. She'll eat very little and her tummy growls and squeaks. She is due to get her anal glands expressed on Monday. Could they be fulla nd causing digestive upset?Other than these issues, she's pretty perky and going potty ok. She had a broken foot about 4 months ago and I wonder if sometimes it pains her and puts her off. She's 8, so I expect some issues to begin to arise. Any thoughts? |
tummy problem? Now that I think about it, I think it may be a tummy ache or pancreatitis. I am glad we already have an appointment. It's not too bad, whatever it is, since she's not throwing up or having potty problems. I'm going to ask about changing her diet. Because of allergies, she's been eating Halo Wild Salmon and fresh tilapia. Maybe it's too much fat, do ya think? My biggest problem is that I obsess!!! I'm making myself crazy! |
Tummy noises can mean many different things. Once that tummy is making gurgling noises, squishy noises, sqeaky noises....they're going to be pretty uncomfortable. Sometimes, they'll posture down on their 2 front legs with their but in the air when they have tummy problems. It could be the wrong food, IBS, needs probiotic supps. Is her poo solid...or...? Are you feeding the current food bc she is allergic to certain protein sources? |
tummy problem? Her poo is solid and she's drinking a normal amount of water. Yes, she had allergy issues a while back so we put her on a fish diet, recommended by the vet. She has been having the dry dog food for a couple of years. We'll see how she does today-like I said, she perky in general but seems a little under the weather. I'm going to cook her up some rice today and see if she'll eat that. |
Hope your little one is feeling better. |
Better!! She is perky as all get out and ate this afternoon, the little stinker. I called the vet and moved her appointment up to tomorrow instead of Monday. I think she's fine. Thanks for the replies. No one knows like a Yorkie owner how concerned we are. Could one of the breeders work on breeding a bunch of Yorkies that can talk? If that's too hard, how about sign language?? ("Mommy, I just need to poop. I'm going to be fine. Relax!!"):D |
