There are several feed stores nearby. I'll check those for food to use this week. The only food at my Vet was Hills SD, which I've read isn't so great either. :D I used to give him Blue Buffalo but he stopped eating it. I wish I could get small sizes of several different brands and not have lots of costly dog food that won't be eaten. I'll check with Vet offices tomorrow too. I could order online, but chances are by the time it arrives I can be back in a city that I can buy it and save the shipping. |
I found a nearby feed store that carries several top brands such as EVO (Natura Brands) and Taste of the Wild. These are a few brands I've seen mentioned here. I'll see if they carry Natural Balance. I'll look there tomorrow. :) Thanks! |
I bought Taste of the Wild today, 5lbs of dry and 4 large cans of wet. Can anyone recommend a ratio of wet/dry for twice a day feeding? Thanks. :) This is supposed to be grain free. |

I'm going to switch him at tonight's meal. These cans will last for weeks, I suppose putting the leftover in a plastic bowl with a top will keep it fresh? They didn't have smaller cans. Btw, the 5lb bag was $9.99 and each can was $2.09. Probably a months worth of food for $20. The big question is will he eat it?? :D |

I bought a couple of pyrex containers and I put the leftovers in it for three days and dump anything if it is left after that. |

Thank you all for the suggestions. Dianne, I think the Reconcile is working great, not quite a week but I can already tell a difference. :) |
Ohhh did he like it! I gave him 1/4 cup wet with a tablespoon of dry mixed in. He ate almost all of it! |
