4-Health Dog Food TSC
 

Hi, my 3 dogs have been on Tractor Supply Company's 4-Health dog food. They love the dry kibble (chicken and rice) and it has a 4 out of 5 star Rating on Dog Food Advisor-- 4Health Dog Food | Review and Rating I am weening puppies and I wanted to use their wet food. I haven't heard anything bad about it but was wandering if anyone has used it and had problems/success with any age dog. I have been using their puppy formula for the mother and have blended it up with a food processor and have moistened it for them. Thought that the wet may be more appealing to them and would help in the process. Thanks for the help!!:animal36

I saw this the last time I was at TSC. It was about half the price of TOTW, which is what I feed. At a quick glance, it looked pretty good. I will be curious if others have experience with this.

Yeah I was feeding Innova, but it was getting quite expensive, I have 3 dogs one being a 60 lbs rott mix. Also my dogs quit eating it, they would eat it because they were starving, but not like they had. So I decided to switch- I looked at everything and then went to TSC and seen this. It caught my eye so I got an 18 lbs bag to try mixing with the Innova to switch them over and they were eating it great. They've been on it 6 months and still love it. I ask about the wet food just for the purpose of starting the weaning process, since I see most breeders do that. They seem not to like the blended dry food with puppy milk replacement. About 30 mins ago I tried the wet 4-Health and the puppies ate it really well, mama and daddy dog loved it too (let them lick the plate). I'm praying it's safe and no one has had a bad meeting with it. Thanks for your help.

Taste of the Wild is a far better dog food. I have been feeding it for over 2 years -- I will pay a bit extra for the quality. Shown below are the ingredients of each product -- notice that in the 4-Health product only the first 2 ingredients are a protein. In TOW the first 4 products are protien

Oh definitely and if my dogs would eat excellenct, expensive food I'd feed it to them; but they refuse to eat it. I have tried Wellness, TOTW, Innova, Canidae, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul, Science Diet (which was before I new it wasn't great), Royal Canine (same as science diet's story) and Eukanuba as pups. The only thing that they've actually loved was the cheaper and still highly rated, on Dog Food Advisor, TSC 4-Health. I have checked ingredients and went off of the Dog Food Advisor and Dog Food Analysis websites. Definitely switch them a lot for about 6 months and they finally seem happy. Just wanted others opinion on the canned food. Thanks again!
