Strange wheezing Okay, I remember a while back that there was a youtube video with examples of wheezing. Can anyone link me to it. Hannah is making this strange noise as if something is caught in her nose. It happens after she finishes licking her paw. |
Are you talking about wheezing or reverse sneeze? This is something that suddenly just happened...or happens at times when she licks her paws? |
|
Yes. It sounds like that. It just started tonight. Is there a certain age in which this occurs more often. It happened after she licked her paw tonight. Probably no correlation. |
No, I don't think age has anything to do with it. Here is a link with some information. My guess is your pup might be doing it due to allergies, since licking paws is also an allergic type behavior. Just a guess. Reverse Sneezing in Dogs |
My Jack does the reverse sneeze. Vet has checked him out he is okay. Sometimes it is really scarey. I just rub his throat till he gets through it, it seems to help I think. It's really funny when he does a normal sneeze he looks at me like what was that? LOL |
Just freaked out tonight cause Henry started doing this.....1st time that I know of.....and I knew I could find some answers here. However, he seems to be sneezing (regular kind) a little bit more so I think I need to take him in to see if he has allergies. |
Jada has allergies and she does the reverse sneeze at times. She was really bad this morning, as I am spring cleaning and had stirred up some dust when moving furniture. Try stroking his throat and blowing in his nose, that helps more than anything. It is a really scary sound when they do it. I know Jada is prone to it when she is excited and now I found out that dust triggers hers too. I was almost ready to take her into the vet this morning, because I would get it to stop and within minutes she was doing it again. After I was through cleaning the room we were in, it stopped. I agree with the paw licking, it is probably allergy related. |
