Puppy to adult food switch Thinking about starting to give Tobi adult food, he's 9 months old and probably about 8 pounds. He is currently eating orijen puppy and loves it but i have noticed the last week or so he is acting hungry even after he eats and wants more, which I give him :) He gets about 1/4 to 1/3 am and pm, He is in a crate during the day and won't eat while he's in there. He is pretty solid, lean and very active. Just wondering if the puppy food is " missing " something that he needs. I love the orijen brand but i am open to another adult food for him. If i stay origin which one? I've heard good things about Fromm surf and turf also. Just open to suggestions thanks |
Izzy had been on Adult Orijen for awhile.. she just turned 1 years in Oct. and she's been ind great... She is eating i believe there are 3 different kinds... 1. the "Teal" looking and black bag --Chicken, turkey and salmon base 2. The Regional Red-- whick is more red meat based 3. The the black and blue bag-- with is more white fish based... I believe the last 2 are an "all stages" food but like I sad izzy has been eating orijen before she turned 1 year and has done great :) Izzy likes the chicken based one... But Im think of trying the Reginal red for a change... |

I have Riley on Orijen Puppy, as well. He is about 6lbs @ 8-months. You may need to feed your pup just a little bit more. The back of the Orijen Puppy bag says: 7-12 lb pup should be getting 3/4 - 1 1/4 per day.... :) |

I believe Orijen is a great product, as so is Fromm Surf and Turf. My boys are eating the latter right now. |
