Blue buffalo Chicken and brown rice. Is this a good food looking for answers whether this is a good choice. |

Also go to their website and read the ingredients and see if it has what you are looking for. I'm pretty sure that Blue Buffalo is rated well. |
I feed Cesar blue buffalo and he seems to enjoy it. Sometimes I'll give him a handful and throw some hot water on there and stir it up. He loves that. The breeder I got him from fed him Puppy chow so I fed him that at first, then when I figured out it was junk I was recommended the Blue Buffalo stuff. He uses the bathroom a lot less with this... With Puppy chow he was going a ton. It was crazy. And it was always very dark. It just looks "healthier" now lol, if poo can look healthy! It's apparently good for his coat and overall health as well. |
Levi used to eat Blue Buffalo Small Breed (Chicken/Brown Rice) and did very well on it. He ate it for probably close to 8 months. Blue Buffalo, in my opinion, is a good food. However, over the summer, I decided to switch him to a completely grain-free diet. He is now eating Orijen Adult. |
I love the Blue Buffalo company. I use their grain-free line, Blue Wilderness, for Sasha. I rotate between the 3 flavors they offer which are chicken, duck and salmon. She loves them all and this is one of the first foods that she actually looks forward to her meals and eats it all in one setting. I love their treat selection as well as there's tons of varieties. A 4.5lb. bag usually lasts us awhile because I give her primal raw in the morning and she gets her wilderness kibble in the evening. |
My Raley eats the Blue Buffalo with Chicken and Brown Rice for Small Breed. From time to time (especially now that its winter) I will add warm water to it and he loves that. I also mix Wellness Super 5 for Small Breed with the Blue Buffalo. |
I used to feed blue buffalo small breed before i switched to making my own raw food. My dogs really seemed to like it (and they are picky). They only thing they didn't eat was the life source bits. They would eat the rest and spit them out. If i were to stop feeding raw or had a dog that would not eat raw I would go back to it. Right before i completely switched to raw they changed their packaging and the calorie content went down a lot, from almost 500 calories a cup to 350 or something like that. But then on some bags it still said the 500 calories and on others there was a sticker over the top and it said the 350. I'm not sure what that was about. That is the only thing that makes me second guess them is why did the calorie content change so much. The high calorie/cup was on one of the reasons i liked it so much. If i could find the higher calorie food and had to stop raw i would feed it again, but i love raw and so do my dogs so i don't see it happening. Hope this helps. |
