Hot spots. My yorkie Has scabs won't stop scratching. What medicene / Shampoo will be okay to use. I've now changed to a better food without wheat/corn product. I'm looking what to use to get rid of the sores though. he has not been on his new food long. Although when he does need a bath were out of shampoo.Any shampoo that will help with the hot spots. Please help :( |
Have you taken him to the Vet? He may have some allergies or be reacting to what you have used so far. I am a natural product user. I use Dr Bonner's Castile Baby Mild Liquid Soap to shampoo Cerise and a natural conditioner afterwards, that I get from Whole Foods. Her hair and skin are in fabulous condition. I refuse to use commercial pet products on her, or anything that is chemical based. Even some items have natural ingredients listed but are mixed with chemicals that cause itching and skin reactions so be careful. |

The scabs could be related to sooooooooo many things. What concerns me is that this could develop (or already is) a staph intermedius infection...and they can get very serious if left unchecked. That said, oy, this could be allergies, secondary to a serious disease, fleas, mange/mites, yeast and on and on.... Get thee to a vet :)! Please keep us posted on this little fella, skin issues are tough. |
