I've noticed that my friends dogs grew significantly bigger (maybe more than they are suppose to) after them switching to orijen and we are wondering if it is because of the food. | Genetics controls how they grow. No one, and I mean NO ONE can determine how big or small a dog will grow. The best breeders that know their lines inside and out can at very best guesstimate the size of the pups. The pup will grow as big or as small as their genetic map tells them. Good food can affect skin, allergies, and how beautiful their coat is (but it will not change a soft coated yorkie into a silky haired yorkie). There is no miracle food. Trust me, my friend tried.;) She wants her little girl to grow a bit more but she is what she is; a beautiful little pup! :)
They can however over eat and get chubby. That seems to plague a lot of us whether human or canine. |
