I feed all three of mine, raw, w/o any issues, and I just switched them from kibble, to rawfrom one day to the next...Not to say that's the right thing to do but it worked for me...I would do the pre made raw, for sure...If you need to watch your pup's weight, I'd feed Primal...If you need her to gain a little weight, Stella & Chewies will do the trick...Good luck, and hope it works out for you... |
We're not interested in pre-made raw (if I'm not going to be feeding him bones for dental health than I might as well be feeding high quality kibble, IMO). I'm aware that raw transition can lead to loose stools, and that bloody stool and bloody vomit are not healthy or normal reactions. I thought that I made that clear in my initial post, sorry if I didn't. This is why Valor is not currently on raw. As I said, I am not new to raw or to dog owndership. What I'm getting here is that no one else has had this experience. I must therefore conclude that, for some reason, Valor is not compatible with raw, so he'll stay on kibble. Thanks for the useful responses! |
can you start feeding puppies of 8 weeks old raw? just wondering cause i'm about to get a new puppy in a couple of weeks, i tried feeding snickers raw a few years ago when he was like 2..he was NOT having it. did not even touch it.... i believe raw is the best! snickers is eating orijen regional red and ziwi peak though.. |
