solid gold seameal Has anyone tried this nutritional supplement? I bought some to give to Levi because his coat has been really shabby looking lately. He has incredibly dry flaky skin, I thought this may help? I have him on wellness and on a grain free diet. |
Anyone? |
I have used it before, but salmon oil is wonderful for dry flaky skin...and makes it real shinny. :) The kelp is good for their coats too though. Have you begun to see any results? |
AMD, Thanks for your response he seems better overall...I added the seameal and I also added a teaspoon of canned food to his wellness dry, I have been doing this for about three weeks. He is getting the wellness 95% for the canned food. I read that the canned food has more moisture in it? Between the combination of the two things he is better. I just really don't know which has helped more? I tried the salmon oil, but I could not stand the smell on him. I could never get it out of his beard for his wet kisses he loves to share with me. LOL! |

The canned food does have much more moisture. Dry kibble is generally around 10% whereas canned food is around 80% moisture. I'm glad to hear he is better- I love kelp for their coats. :) |

The salmon oil will have some anti-inflammatory properties, which can help with skin issues. |
I was thinking about getting this (seameal) for Ian's dry skin. |
We started using seameal a month or so ago. I'm not sure if it's helping or not. Ivan tends to have very itchy skin. We are looking into possible cause but thought this might help. He has been less itchy since we've been giving the seameal but we've also changed diet a bit so it's hard to know what's is helping. |
