Dr. Harveys Organic dog food? What do you guys think of this food? I only ever heard of it because we got a sample, then I read the ingredients and gave to my dogs to try and they loved it!! They chowed it all down! Is it really a good food? Right now I feed california natural dry food-small bites, but something about dry dog food always turned me off. I don't have time to cook everyday either so this dr.harvey brand might be a good solution. It says to add hot water, let sit, then add proteins. I did that and added chicken and a bit of chicken broth. Anyway does anyone currently feed this? Looks healthier than dry dog food to me. I have never tried this but I did try The Honest Kitchen which it looks like the same thing. They have a food in their line called Preference that you can had your own protein too! It is an amazing company! I was impressed! Taycie can't handle all the flaxseed in it though it makes her poop all the time! But its worth looking in to! Because if she could handle it she would be eating it right now! Dehydrated Dog Food | Human Grade Dog Food | All Natural Pet Food |
Dr. Harvey's seems to be very popular, but DogAware didn't review it very well. DogAware.com: Dog Food Mixes Most people don't realize Dr. Harvey is not a vet or a canine nutritionist. He's a human chiropractor. |

I still have this in the freezer. All it is, is oatmeal with a few peas and carrots. You can certainly make it much, much cheaper yourself, not to mention you need to add meat or some sort of animal protein to it. |
i posted about this a few days ago, but never got any response. I am really wanting to homecook for Tinkerbell so I am trying this food out. There are some clients at my vets office who have had good success with this food, but this is just second hand info. Tink like it so far, but I am using the grain free variety which looks fine. I think I am going to email Dr. Harvey and find out some more about the calcium content. |
