Vinniedoggy | 11-05-2010 10:49 AM | I didn't know about this, but I don't think I would use it. I clean my guys' teeth the same way I clean my own - I brush them EVERY night. Both have sparkly white teeth. Vinnie is almost 9 and doesn't have a speck of tartar on his teeth, and he's only had them cleaned professionally (i.e., while sedated) twice. Brushing teeth in this house is a must for humans and dogs alike. I simply make sure I set aside about 5 minutes each evening to do both of them. Once you have them trained and used to it (which means not giving up and letting them know they are going to get their teeth brushed one way or the other) it's a breeze.
Seriously, ~5 minutes out of my day and about $11 every couple of months for toothpaste and toothbrushes is all that is required. It saves so much money and pain that I don't know why more people don't do it! |
