I'd probably do smaller meals. If his stomach is feeling better from the meds he may overeat because he loves the hot rice and meat and make himself sick again. Glad he's doing better:) |
Good point I'll give him a meal every 1-2 hours, that way he's got "constant" access to food, just not sitting out. the bf is thankfully going to be home all day today, so he'll check on him while I go to work. but I'll be able to get 3 meals in before I go. that should get him good and full for a while. |
We feel so helpless when our little ones are sick. Hope the little guy is better soon. You are a great mom. |
He's much better today. he took his medicine, and now I'm making him another batch of hamburger. I'm so relieved he's feeling better. |
I think I may have created a spoiled monster... he LOVES the rice and hamburger mix, especially when I put a tiny bit of water in and make it more like a warm mash. So hey I have a question, if I'm going home for the weekend for thanksgiving, can I prepare any sorts of turkey for him that way? to give him something other than the hamburger? Or should I keep it consistent? Its just we have a 3 hour drive a head of us, and I don't think even if it's frozen, that the hamburger will make the trip well (uncooked) and I doubt that cooked would be a good idea either. I have the rice I made him. Thank-god he travels well, I'd hate to make him travel when he's just recovering if he didn't. |
I would not give Turkey as it's too rich and can often cause pancreatitis. Stick with what you are diong now.;) |
