HELP...Weird Poop :eek:Okay, Mabel had a very strange poop a minute ago, One normal, well formed stool then several smaller ones that had crystal like things on it. Also, several small spots of crystalized clumps! The crystals looked just like brown sugar! She is acting and eating absolutely normaly. Now i do have a theory... occasionaly, she will get ahold of a wet baby diaper and shread it. Now, usually we catch her but she is quite sneaky! Could this be the case or is there something else going on? I called the vet but they are all out to lunch right now. Has anyone ever encountered something like this? HELP!!!:eek: |
Well, it does sound like she got ahold of something. Is she acting normally? When did she eat last? |
I had that happen with my 1st yorkie...it was weird, and like you said...looked just like brown sugar. After a few days she was back to normal. I just figured it must have been something she ate. |
My guess probably the filling from a diaper. Probably shouldn't leave those laying around where she can get a hold of them. I would think it would possibly cause a blockage if she ate a large amount~not to mention the idea of eating human poop. |
My guess is it's the absorbent gel/crystal -type things in the diaper filling. The "crystalized clumps" are the absorbent material pulling her looser poops together, I think. I'd call the vet just to be sure that stuff isn't toxic, but I highly doubt it since it's in baby diapers. Silly, silly little Mabel! :p |
Mabel is acting like her normal self. She free feeds so I don't know when she ate last. She was just out back for awhile, i went out there and looked around but everything looks okay. Can't find a shredded diaper either. Weird! I guess she's not dying since yours was okay! I'll call the vet anyway just to be safe! |
Probably silica gel...bet she's fine... |
