Spayed, teeth pulled and micro chiped My baby Remy (7 months) went in yesterday to be spayed she also had 3 baby teeth pulled and was microchipped..she was soo loopy when I picked her up that lasted pretty much all night...she seems to be doing better today she really wants to play with her brother and I'm having a hard time keeping her from running and jumping...I'm using a onesie to keep her from biting the stitches because she hates the ecollar...if anyone has any advice on how I can keep her still please let me know... |
To keep her less active, you could give chews to keep her busy...does she like chews? |
You did what I did with Bentley. He was neutered, teeth that needed to be extracted and microchipped! I think Ann has the right idea...if she has a favorite chew that will keep her busy. The onesie is good to keep her from pulling at her stitches...so I think you're doing fine in helping her. |

I'm in the same boat. Tia had two teeth pulled Saturday when she was spayed. When I brought her home the same day, she was so groggy, I felt so bad. Sun and Mon I just couldn't keep her and Ally apart. It was very hard. Good luck with your babies. It's not easy! Hope your baby recovers fast! |
If you can't keep her from running or jumping, she will need to be held or crated. Trauma/stretching of her abdomen can cause abscessing and such. Not worth it b/c they would have to go back in and fix things... So if she won't stay quiet with chews, a crate would probably be best. |
