Innova EVO or Wellness? I've been feeding Roxie Innova EVO small bites for the past 8 months or so. She has a delicate tummy, and we had tried several foods before finding one that she tolerates well. It was rated high and was grain-free, so I was pretty happy with it. The only thing is that we have to go to a specialty pet food store to get it, which is a little out of the way. Also, the formula changed a bit not long after P&G acquired the company that makes Innova. Our local Petsmart now carries Wellness, which I know a lot of Yorkie parents say is good and they feed their babies. I was wondering if I should try her on the Wellness, or just leave well enough alone. I don't know what further changes P&G may make to the Innova, but I hate the thought of changing foods completely and possibly upsetting Roxie's little system. What do you think? Wellness or Innova EVO? |
A lot of people rotate their dog's food; changing it up every now and then. You could rotate once she begins to get tired of the Innova. If she's still lapping it up like crazy; not sure I would mess with that for now! What I've found is that both of my dogs will eventually tire of a dry food; that's when I look to slowly switch over. My Westie is apparently tired of his Blue Buffalo and would prefer to eat Lucy's Wellness Limited Ingredient (!). So, I'm adding a little of the Wellness to his food and will switch him over for a bit. Good Luck. |
Wellness is a great choice, if your dog likes it. You can ask for samples to check it out: Old Mother Hubbard (Wellness, Old Mother Hubbard) 285 Mill Road Chelmsford, MA 01824 Tel: (800) 225-0904 Email: N/A - Use Contact Form on website Old Mother Hubbard | All Natural Dog Biscuits and Gourmet Treats I buy my pup's food from a specialty food store. When I went in last week, I noticed that they had signs up saying that they were no longer going to carry Innova/Evo/California Naturals. They will special order it if someone wants it, but it will no longer get any shelf space. I think a lot of specialty stores are making a similar move since the P&G buyout. |
