HELP ME about eye gunk I dont want my puppy to suffer There is a wet mess around my sweet baby's eyes everyday :( We try a warm wet washcloth or bathing it off but it doesnt get it. We have already switched to one of the higher quality dog foods but it was only yesterday that we did this so hopefully we will see results soon. I am concerned SOOO much because I know that when i have discharge around my eyes that it is uncomfortable because it is wet... and it bothers me all day to think that my sweet little doggie might be uncomfortable around her eyes. Although she shows no signs of it I am sure that it must be irritating!!! and wet and itchy and probably sore from being a dog (getting dirty)! :(:(:( Please share your knowledge with me about my puppies eye gunk. Does it hurt her? Is it sore?:( what removes it???? Please & thank you |

I agree... As soon as I gave Izzy Natural Balance sweet potaot & Bison L.I.D kibble it went away completely.. Then I also starting feed her raw foos too and It has not come back... But if it's really bad and has color then she needs to go to a vet..JMO :) |
I get it wet and then use a fine tooth comb to comb it out. |
to be honest i'd personally advise a quick trip to the vet unless you already have gone. i'd want to rule out conjunctivitis or other eye infections they can sometimes get. Bentley had one when we first got him and they gave us eye drops for him. is it clear or is it yellow or green?? i'd sure at least rule that out before going further. if you rule out it's not an infection, i use these little pads for removing tear stains. it's like a noxema acne pad only it's got stuff for tear stains on it. they had them at petsmart when we got Sadie. works great with a little wipe up and a quick brush with a mustache comb. |
