I'm with the majority leave the tail long. They're beautiful either way:aimeeyork

This is just my opinion but if he were mine I would 100% leave the tail no matter what. I'd never jeopordize the life/health of a tiny.

I had one born at 2 oz and still didn't get her done. She is beautiful and has a very loving home. here she is as a baby.

I have a Yorkie with tail in tact. She is darling WITH IT!!! Leave it NATURAL!!

Thanks I am keeping his tail u all helped sway me and I am happy with this,. I hope his new owner will be as happy.:animal36

im a little late with a picture but you can make out my little Siennas worm tail in this pic shes 4 months and JUST made it to 3 lbs the other day so shes a squirt (cupcake)

I say leave it long. They way it looks when it's long and flowing is just beautiful. My Morkies have the most beautiful long tails.

I agree. Nothing is worth risking the life of a tiny, defenseless baby. Breny, she is beautiful, and I just love that photograph! I remember all of her sisters and brothers, and they are all adorable and such happy babies because of how caring and loving you were to them.

Although I prefer a docked tail, I would never dock a tail unless the pup is between 6-7 oz. Too much can go wrong with a wee one as small as yours. I would definately leave the tail

Aw so cute, and it did not bother u to have a pup like that with the tail left and I am happy, I hope fellow st louisins will be accepting to this, we will soon find out. Thanks

I'm another vote for leaving it... I'm in one of the provinces in Canada where it is illegal. My babies tail was done before this came in effect, but I would love him no different if he had a tail. I think they're really cute with tails.

Called the Vet this morning and told her I changed my mind and canceled the appointment, she sounded surprised. Today he is 10 days old and 4oz. So I think I did what was best. He will be wagging that tail. Thanks everyone, I am glad I canceled. Will send pics of him soon.:animal36
