Natural Balance - Teeth issues Hey Everyone, its been a while. :( I've been feeding the pups Natural Balance for a while now and I have notice that their teeth have gotten worse since. All they get is dry food and bully sticks. Everyonce in a while they get freeze dried liver treats. I am going try the petzlife gel and see if that helps. They have build up even though I brush their teeth.:confused: anyone have any other suggestions. I am going to take them to the vet again and they will probably need cleaning. but what else can i do to prevent it. Thank you ~Kim |
I love Petzlife. It works great on Jackson! He had a little build up on his canine teeth, it was a yellow/green ish color and the Petzlife made it disappear. Now we use it for maintenance. I rub the gel on his teeth every few days. I only brush his teeth once a week or less (whenever he gets a bath) because it's such a struggle! I know, bad mom. He will be 2 in October and his teeth are pretty darn good. |
i brush as often as they allow... i use cet toothpaste they have poultry flavor that my guys like best,, CET also makes chews i never found them in a store s i buy online,,,it has the same enzyme in teh chew thats in the paste i also use plaque off, by proden,, its a tinly little scoop that is put in food. i just had both of my dogs teeth cleaned and trying to put it off for as long as i can for next time. i dont know about the liver treats for teeth i know thats is what works well for tear stains,, its whats in angel eyes, i just buy the dehydrated little cubes of it and it does the same thing and is way cheaper |
I've found that the combination of brushing every night (or most nights) and Petzlife gel is the only thing that works for us. My two boys have never needed a teeth cleaning yet, and they're 5 and 6. Their teeth are white with just a little buildup in the back. I bought tooth scalers, and gently scrape it away when it's needed. Hope this helps. :) |
