Martini is having babies Martini (Tini) for short is due to have babies any time now. I have been checking her temperature regularly and just this evening she reached the 98 degree mark. She is in her whelping box in a quiet place, relaxed. I am actually going to sleep next to her on a blow up mattress tonight to watch over her and experience this with her :) This is her first (and only) litter. I was hoping that maybe I could get some assistance along the way, (I have done my reading and talked to my vet who is a actually my very own godfather), but as it is saturday night and very late, I am hoping that all goes well and I do not have to bug him all night long. I know that I may have some questions, and am hoping that maybe the more experienced could help keep me calm and collected throughout this labor. Thanks! |
Good luck, how exiting. I will pray for a safe whelp. Please keep us posted. |
Thanks! Nothing much so far... Haven't had any indications of contractions. I know that it does take 12 to 24 hours from the temp drop for her to begin labor. So I'll definitely post as soon as she begins the process :) |
OMGoodness, how exciting. I hope everything goes smooth. I wish I had some advice but I don't. Im sure you will do fine. Ahhhhh, im getting buterflies just thinking about the new babies :p. Keep us posted, & drink some tea or coffee to keep you awake and alert |
My vet came over to check on her today, false alarm. She is all good, but not yet ready to have her pups. He says definitely looks like any day now. I'll just keep an eye on her and hope she is ready soon because I am so excited :). Thank ya'll for everything! I'll post any new updates and let everyone know for SURE when she starts her birthing! |
Good luck, keep us posted!! |
