puppy food help just joined this forum, have three yorkies, ben 12yrs rosie 9yrs and baby amba 8wks,she's adoll but not eating much, trying dry and wet food,any1 have any suggestions:) |
At this point, your little one is VERY young. Too young to have been placed by the breeder. :thumbdown She should have been on a stable diet of solid food before being placed. Until she is settled in and accustomed to her new home, you should continue feeding her the food she was eating while with the breeder. To switch her food so suddenly could cause serious digestive upset and even intestinal infection. If you do decide to switch her food, really research which one you think would be the best option then switch her food gradually, slowing increasing the new to old food ratio. Be sure to keep an eye on her and supplement her with Nutri Cal to avoid low blood sugar while she is still being a picky eater. Welcome to YT. :) |
Yes most certainly keep Nutra cal on hand..And as far as puppy food goes..Taste Of The Wild, is a very good food, and it is an all stage food so all of your dogs can eat the same food..But the pieces may big a little big for the baby,,but you can soak it in water for about 20 min before giving it to her to make it soft enough so she can chew it. |
thanku both for your advice, she has had her 1st vet check and we got some puppy food and supplements vet suggested. |
