HELP ! Can she eat this !? My yorkie was born november 30th 2009. We ran out of her dog food, and she hasn't ate much today, which for her is normal. She dosn't eat much, but sometimes she does steal dry food from the older dogs, and some stuff off the ground. I want to atleast give her a bite of something before bed. I was wondering, can I give her red hotdog, un-cooked without the skin ? We have NO food, seriously. We ran out of her dog food this afternoon, but my mom made a lot of money tonight so were going shoping tomorrow morning. I normaly give her cearsers. I know it's for old dog's, but she loves it ! Please help ! I don't want to make her sick. |
Please help ! I want to go bed :) |
I personally wouldn't give her a hotdog it's full of fat and can cause probs. Do u have white rice? |
No nothing, reeally. A cheese stick, some carrots in a little package in the cubbord ( But I don't know if there any good ) Roman... that's really it, oh and Peas. Edit- The carrots, are in that water stuff. |
Absolutely not. Hot dogs can trigger pancreatitis. Do you have any eggs? |
I think a hotdog might upset her stomach. I'd give her the peas and a little cheese. |
FYI, Cesar's isn't the greatest food. You might want to consider switching her. |
my dogs have been known to hang around the bbq to see if uncle jeff accidenntally on purpose would drop a piece of a hot dog... but in gen table food and hot dog is bad, not sure why you would not cook it, but I would not give it to her because it would hurt her but because if she is not use to any table food at all a hot dog im sure would make her tummy hurt, but just my opinion... try the peas, she might liek them mine like peas and carrots |
If you have some eggs you could try her with some scrambled egg. In future dont allow yourself to run out of dog food, when you notice there is not much left that is when you buy some more not when its all gone. |
please keep us updated as to how she is and what you were able to give her... :) |
I gave her some carrots, and she loved them ! |
ok good, do you have food for her for tonight now? |
Yes, my mom got some of the food we always give her, and this morning, I saw we had another thing of carrots, so I gave her some with green beans, didn't like the beams to much, but the carrots are all gone ! |
just a tip... if you give her the carrots and green beans, you can puree them and the fur babies should eat them right up! :) |
My little ones love the baby carrots. I always keep a bag in the fridge. I am a little concerned. You said you ran out of food, your mom made money last night so you would be able to buy food today. What will happen if Maggie ever needs vet care, even just her shots. Are you going to be able to afford to pay the vet bills? I do admire you for being 14 and trying to be responsible - it is an admirable trait, but I am concerned..........:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Even though Cesears isn't considered "the best" by some YT members--since your dog likes it--they do have a Puppy version, it has a light pink label....not all stores carry it with the adult food, so maybe that's why you haven't seen it...but I know Walmart does for sure, for .75 cents each--you maye want get several of those, and keep them in stock incase you run out of food again...... |

Just my opinion. To the OP, I am glad your baby enjoyed the carrots so much and that your mom was able to go shopping this morning and get your furbaby food. I feel your post and concern is quite responsible for a 14 yr old and I am quite impressed. And I must agree...puree those green beans and carrots and your furbaby will inhale them! Also, do you keep a kibble on hand for the puppy? Best of luck!! :) |
Yes, I wasn't trying to be critical about Cesar dog food, just stating a fact that might influence the OP's choices in the future. We all want what's best for our pups. I'm not a food evangelist, and I feed my dog kibble (Halo). However, it's simply a fact that most cheap commercial dog foods are coated with grease, and that's why dogs gobble them up. Thor LOVES cheap dog food, he literally dances for it at a nearby store where they give it to him as a treat. If the OP or anyone else is curious, there are some great dog food ranking websites out there. There's a sticky in the Health & Wellness section. |
Just as McDonald's (fast food period) is unhealthy for humans--some people buy it at times when they may be low on funds/have no other options. If her dog is a picky eater, likes ceasers, and she is ever in the situation on being low on cash/with no dog food again--I was just suggesting she have some stored away incase. Hopefully it won't happen again though. Not knocking anyone in particular--I've read on YT previously that Cesear's was not a choice food. That's why I wrote what I did. |
If there is no food in the house, what are YOU eating? I hope your Mom can get some groceries & dog food so the whole family isn't going hungry. |
