Who home cooks for their babies and what do you make??? I always have blue buffalo dry out for Mack. However I make him a scrambled egg for breakfast and at dinner time i give him a mixture of chicken with a little boiled rice and raw veggies. I am curious if anyone else home cooks and if so what do you make. I am having a hard time finding a proper diet/recipe for a yorkie. |
Not sure how good scrambled eggs is for a daily meal? I give it every once in a while. Wanted to bump your thread so you can get some responses. |
I havn't home cooked for Poppy just yet, I was thinking of giving her some scrambled egg for a change though. How often can they have it and what sort of milk should I make it with as I hear cows milk can upset their tummy? |
when you make a scrambled egg, do you use butter or oil? (if oil, which kind?) I would totally love to have a mini breakfast with my baby. :) |
You can use water instead of milk for the eggs and use a little coconut oil to cook them in. That is how I make my own eggs also. |

I have recently began home cooking for my babies. I am currently following Dr. Dodd's liver cleansing diet while awaiting repeat labs. And I have an appt in a few weeks with a nutritonist to discuss their proper nutritional needs to incorporate after the repeat labs. Right now they are getting cod, white and sweet potatoes, zucchini, and string beans or celery. Their favorite treat had become watermelon. This home cooking is all new to me and a litlle intimidating. Good luck with it! |

home cooking I cook for mine, but they also get kibbles (Ultra) hostic they get lamb/boiled some nites, chicken boiled or grilled. chicken liver, steak, mine you these are once a week. they like turkey, on the eggs every once in a while. they like boiled. I mix it in with there kibbles. hope this helps cheryl |

I have dry down 24/7 and at night -they get a little homecooked chicken - I've been doing that for years - It all started with my cocker who had a bad underbite and I had to hand feed her from a puppy and of course couldn't leave out the others when I got them - so cooked lean chicken is the only table food mine get. |
Been home cooking for over 50 years and wouldn't have it any other way. ;) When I give my girls scrambled eggs, I use just a tiny bit of olive oil. I also just boil their eggs. Their main diet consists of bison and several types of fresh vegetables. I buy the vegetables at the farmers market every Friday and get us and them all that's in season. |
