my Tiny Yorkie was shaking My Tiny Yorkie (1.3 kg) started shaking and acting really different. He was also panting more than normal. It has been quite warm out and he had eaten normally today but has his ears pinned now looking fearful. I cuddle him but it doens't help. Hypoglycemic???? I let him lick some honey off my finger and he quite liked that and stopped shaking after about 5 minutes His ears seem quite relaxed now and he is sleeping comfortably. Is there anything else I should be doing? |

Sounds like hypoglycemic. How often is he eating? Did you get him recently and how old is he? Has he had a vet check yet? You really need to watch him carefully. The honey worked, but I personally like nutrical, it is high in calories and vitamins. |
If your baby is young, I wouldn't use natural bee honey. It will help you in a pinch, but I would refrain from using natural honey because of the bacteria present in it. It's not killer bacteria that would hurt us adult humans, but to a sensitive pup it can make them sick. Stick to Karo syrup or even better yet, get Nutracal. |
I hope Nutrical in the morning is going to work. The honey is natural in fact from our neighbors farm. I didn't think of the bacteria. Buzz is settling in beside me now in bed but not laying down maybe because I am on my Blackberry. It is odd for us to be up so late. I really appreciate the concern and time you take with me. |
