Watermellon Can dogs eat watermellon? Winnie is vomiting yellow foam. She had watermellon yesterday, but then again she also had 3 doggie cookies, a greenie, and some food. Did she just eat too much different stuff? |
As far as I know, it's totally fine! My dogs eat a ton of fruits and vegetables (including watermelon) with no problems. |
Yellow foam is usually from not eating, not eating too much. that's how it is with Uni anyway. Watermelon is fine, but I don't give greenies. Also what kind of cookies? 3 seems to be a bit much. |
They are homemade dog cookies. Small size but prob too much. She also swallows her kibble. I need to find something bigger and she is really teething right now. Could this be it? |
I'm just guessing it's just too much food all at once. For my Uni, usually yellow foam is from not eating. If she's still doing it, I would call the vet. Also, greenies say not to give to dogs under 6 months or 5 lbs. That could have been it. |
Eating My Rosie was vomiting yellow foam every time she had any kind of "table food." I ended up having to take her to the vet because she become very ill from all the vomiting. Come to find out she has a sensitive stomach and has to have prescription dog food. I would guess it is one of the things your dog ate or how it affected the stomach. Just guessing! |
Yes, greasy or fatty people food is not good for these little ones. Esp if they have pancreatitis (which Uni just got over a mild case of it, not fun). People food is ok, but just the healthy stuff, fruits and veggies. A little non fat yogurt or cottage cheese is fine too. No steak, hot dog, cold cuts, ribs, stuff like that. |
Is she still vomiting at all? Yellow bile can indicate an empty stomach, but I'm just a bit concerned because she had a Greenie. Any straining/pooping okay? |
I'd blame it on the greenie! Nasty things. Hope she's better now. |
