can dogs get hemorrhoids Sienna had a big giant very hard poopy stuck half way out her bottom i had to help her get it out poor thing was having a really hard time of it i had to squeeze her little butt cheeks together to help get it out ( gently ofcourse ) now her little bottom is red :( |
Yes, dogs can have hemorrhoids. They can also have impacted anal glands that may look like a hemorrhoid. If Sienna has a stuck poopy again, try using warm water instead of squeezing. Put her rear end in the bath. Depending on what you are seeing, you may want to have your vet take a look at Sienna to make sure she doesn't have an anal gland problem. If it is the gland, it could rupture. |
best method I agree with you. I put a little shampoo on my hand while they sit in warm water. It helps free up anything else that has dried around the anal. That long hair can get pretty messy if not checked out often. I find my girls need to have a "bidet" pretty often as they get itchy. |

If she has any more problems, hook up with someone here who has a smaller pup to discuss diet changes or additions that may help make the poops smaller and/or softer. |
