Neuter/Spay question I have two puppies. One is a male Pomeranian (Ty) and a female Yorkie (Princess). Ty is almost 7 months and Princess is almost 5 months. I plan to have Ty neutered and Princess spayed. Would it be "easier" for them to have both have their surgeries at the same time, so they are both recuperating at the same time. Or best to have each of my puppies have surgeries several weeks apart? I have had cats spayed/neutered at the same time. But having puppies I know recuperating will be somewhat different than my cats. I really need to have them both "fixed" soon and would like to make their appointments next week. Thank you in advance for advice. |
This is just my personal opinon, but I think it would be easier to have them fixed at the same time, so one wouldnt hurt the other. As in, one gets fixed and the other wants to play, etc. |
HI, I just had my 2 female yorkies both spayed together yesterday. I decided to have them done at the same time so they would recuperate together. They are both now resting so I think it is was a good idea to have them both done together |
That was my thought exactly. I figured if I have both fixed at the same time, they will be be recuperating together. Now to just make the phone call to schedule their surgery's. Thank you both for answering this question. |

Cozy and Roxy may wild children where spayed together and Zoey was spayed several months later. All did great. |
