Yorkies Weight? I have a 3 year old that is 5 pounds. I know he is suspost to be little but I want him alittle fat. What should I feed him to give him some weight? He plays ball all day so he is running all the time. |
You shouldn't want him to be 'fat'. He needs to be the size his frame can hold. A picture would help determine if he is too skinny or not. But an overweight dog, especially a smaller dog where 1lb can add alot, is NOT healthy and I don't recommend it. |
Exactly you want him to be preportioned to his frame. Overweight can lead to all kinds of health problems |
I can feel his ribs and i dont like it. I got him from a guy who was moving and couldnt take him with him. I dont want him fat I just want some meat on him. Ill have to post pics later I dont have any on this computer. |

A small frame dog should NOT be fat!!! 5 lbs is probably a good weight for him unless the vet says he is too thin. Then That is a different story and maybe your wording is wrong but Fat dogs are not healthy dogs, being healthy is the most important thing;) |
