Question for those who buy Pre-packaged Raw Hi. We currently feed a prey model RAW diet to our puppy but will be going out of town for a bit in the fall and my parents who will be watching her do not really feel comfortable feeding her this diet in our absence. I have heard about RAW medallions and was curious if anyone had a recommendation on a brand as well as info as to where they are purchased. I wanted to try these out for her before we go as I'm pretty sure a change in diet might affect her bathroom breaks. Thanks for any recommendations you might have. |
We feed Primal Raw....but sometimes we rotate with Stella and Chewy's Freeze-Dried Dinners....i add a little water to them to soften it up and then cut it up with a fork and Viola!! Dinnertime!! Here's the link to their website.Stella & Chewy's - Home |

I really like primal but have a hard time finding it in my area. I usually resort to NV for situations like these. I also feed a prey model but also have others on hand just in case or when I have to leave other family members in charge. |
Thanks! I will begin searching these out! |
I feed prey model, but for the same issues as you, when Duke is at my parent's he gets the premade. The only option available in that area is the Nature's Variety. Another option that you may want to look into is grinding your one meat, organ, and bones so you can make patties. |
We are feeding bravo raw and are very happy with it |

That is absolutely NOT true. Both our frozen and freeze-dried dinners are perfectly suitable to be fed on a long term basis to your dog. Stella & Chewy’s is committed to providing our customers with a nutritious, complete, safe food—in both our frozen and freeze-dried formats. Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions. Sincerely, Emily Thompson Stella & Chewy’s From: T. xxxxx [mailto: xxxxxx@cox.net] Sent: Saturday, June 05, 2010 2:46 PM To: Speak Subject: Freeze dried dandy lamb I use the freeze dried dandy lamb (along with fresh raw foods) on a daily basis for our dog. Recently I read a post on a forum that said that your freeze dried foods should NOT be used long term. Is this true? I hope not, as I have been feeding our dog 1/2-1 patty every day for over a year! Thanks! |
WE rotate Primal Medallions. Lamb seems to be the favorite! I have a friend who does the dry Stella and Cheweys and loves it |
Personally I am a huge fan of Stella & Chewy's. Only 2 0f my girls are currently receiving it, the third is back on a restricted diet and I will be seeking nutrional counsultation before feeding her any form of a raw diet again. I also have several friends that love S&C. |
