Whole Foods is out of pumpkin here, nooooooooooo...
 
Last time I went, I bought about 4 cans. I went yesterday to stock up and they were out. They only had the pumpkin for pies, with spices, not the plain, nothing in it pumpkin.:( They said that they will get the plain one in around October.:eek:
I did pick up pumpkin/apple baby food that is organic with no salt or sugar added.

The Whole Foods that I go to is in Alpharetta.

Do you have any Bruno's supermarkets where you live? The ONLY place in my neck of the woods that had pumpkin was the Bruno's in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

We don't have Bruno's here, according to their web site, they're only located in AL.
I have checked Kroger, Publix, Super Target, Super Walmart, Aldi, Assi (Asian mega market), Super H Mart (Asian mega market) and some little family run stores.

Maybe we should get some pumpkin seeds and grow our own.:jacko:

We have been out of pumpkin here since fall in the stores.:( One of my co-workers dad grows pumpkins. I didn't get any from her this past fall. If he has them this year I am buying a bunch, cooking and freezing it.

Don't forget to check out the organic section of regular supermarkets. That is where I found mine. :thumbup:

Believe me, I have!! I've also spoken with the managers from all of the stores I went to.

Jadabug has a good idea. This is so upbelievable!

Ok I know I'm an idiot, but I have seen people say to use it for bowel movement issues, what do you guys use if for on a regular basis? Wondering if I should be!

You are so funny!!:) No, you're not an idiot!!!! I make treats for Prince and use pumpkin in them. He'll get one or two a day and it keeps his poop perfect. I don't buy store made treats because most of them are made in China; this way I know exactly what he is eating. One treat contains pumpkin, brown rice and salmon (fresh, wild, not canned); the other contains the same except instead of salmon, I use lamb. The lamb is boiled, then rinsed to remove as much fat as possible. I make them into tiny paddies and bake them on a rack until they are crunchy.

I just called all three Trader Joes here and they do not have pumpkin. They said that they should get some in in Sep. or Oct...hopefully!

Oh those sound so good for our babies. I am going to save your recipe, they sound easy to make too. I only give mine veggies for treats(i don't do store bought either) and this sounds like something good for them and they will love a change. Now just finding the pumpkin;)

Your baby will love them, and they freeze very well! I buy the salmon filets and steam it, then go through it looking for bones. I check at least three times to make sure. Only use brown rice and it's ok if it's a little al dente . The pumpkin holds it together. The last bunch I made, I had to use an egg because I couldn't find any pumpkin. Prince didn't notice!:)

I use it for tummy problems, but I like to have it "in stock" just in case I need it. I learned my lesson the hard way and the time I needed it, it took me hours to find. I learned only Whole Foods has it in my area.

I bake them at 350 degrees for about an hour or until kind of hard...crunchy.
If you don't use a rack, you will need to turn them half way through. To save your gas or electricity, after baking for an hour, turn the oven off but don't open the door and leave them in there for 30 minutes or so.

I usually get mine at walmart. This was a very bad year for pumpkins so thata probably why your not finding any
