See this is exactly what I am trying to say. There are step that Dwerten is missing on how things are handles and how things work with specimens. There are different types of preservatives that are used in samples dependent upon what is being looked at/for. You therefore cannot apply a broad blanket to every dog. There are different scenarios and different protocol that need to be followed depending upon what the vet is looking for or ruling out as a possible cause. If blanket statements are made that is when it becomes dangerous. Debbie you act like vets are all fools and they should not be trusted. Well at least that is my impression when I read your posts. This is polar opposite of my training. But then again I have a different type of relationship with the medical professionals that I deal with on a daily basis. To work side my side with some of the very best surgeons and see their expertise I just could not begin to think I had more knowledge then they do. There are plenty of very knowledgeable members of the veterinary profession that should be well respected but many times I seem to miss that in your writings. I'm not hear to argue with you but every time I try to step up to correct a misconception you are so defensive and then are relentless that you are correct. No one is always right we are all only human. :) |

You know it is funny......I have had people tell me how you pm them to come help you out on a thread. I guess that is why you think someone called me. Pretty amusing...but also sad. I just got finished making blankets for the boutique with some friends who love the pups...they are not even rescuers, but wanted to help. I come on YT and engage in a discussion and get accused of a gang thing. Talk about trying to beat people into submission...rofl. And what is your issue about YHR fosters now? Do tell. Interesting that now we want to get accusatory?? |

People and dogs also die from medications. Rare...but it does happen. There are risks involved in everything. Do you not think there is anything you do that might have a risk? That is just not the real world. It is horrible when it happens, but again, not common; so no reason to scare people imho. |

and the VET advised the owner and gave the owner the drugs to give her dog after surgery. I did not. i simply said to follow her vets instructions and not just stop giving them because someone on the internet said not to. |

I am not your girlfriend and do not appreciate you calling me that in the way that you do. I find it to be quite rude to be honest. A bit condescending. |

She was saying to do what the vet said to do and she wasn't really concerned about the med. I said do what the vet said to do and I was concerned about the med. Both of us advised that the dog continue on the drug b/c the vet prescribed it. I don't agree with NSAIDs in LS dogs, but I'm not the surgeon here so it doesn't matter. I have no problem with NSAIDs in healthy dogs. |

You know.....I think you need to worry about what goes on in your home and leave YHR alone. This is beginning to sound like you are trying to stir a pot. Is this what you do when things don't go your way in a conversation? Try to turn it into something else...try to split people? Not going to work. I am quite frankly not interested in whatEVER it is you are referring to. I think you need to go to your yahoo groups for a bit so you can come back and educate us stupid people . :) |
time for me to get off this crazy train before the conductor sends it off a cliff... good night |
