Is Bella pregnant? My baby is a year and a half and got her 2nd period .. I took her to my moms who has a 8 month old yorkie and we dis catch them a couple of times trying to do it but they were home alone most of the time. Bella is usually hyper and runs alot when she goes outside . Now I take her outside and try to make her run and she doesn't want to run or jump at all.. Everyone says she's been more down and independent when she's never likethat! What are the signs of pregnancy!? |
If she was with your mom's 8 month old male and they tried you must assume she is pregnant. BTW~its called in season or heat in animals. How much does she weight and how much does the daddy weight? Where did you purchase them from and do you test both prior to this breeding? Are you prepared for whelping a litter of puppies? |
You said just a couple of months ago that Bella was only four pounds. That's too small to breed. You could lose her if she is pregnant. You need to take her to your vet ASAP and discuss your options. She may need an emergency spay. When do you think she was bred? Why, oh why, did you leave a female in heat alone with an intact male? |
I just looked at some older posts too and I feel sick that she is only 4 lbs and pregnant! Please go to the vet and have her spayed. If you don't believe how dangerous this could be please take a look at the breeder forum at members that have lost a female during a whelping. |
I suggest you get her to the vet ASAP. I would not second guess if shs is or is not pregnant. |
if she is that small you really should be concerned about her surviving a pregnancy. If she were my dog i'd take her in to the vet asap and have an emergency spay to abort the puppies. its not worth the risk. also get the male neutered. |
It might be a stupid question but how do the tiny yorkie do it ? Like bellas mom was almost 4 Ibs and that's why she is so small.. I didnt plan on breeding her . That is why I'm worried. |

If either she or the male have larger Yorkies in their background, the puppies could be too large for her to carry and deliver safely. If you lose her, you will have to bottle feed the puppies around the clock for weeks. You may also face big vet bills for ultrasounds, c-sections, etc. You need to take her to your vet asap and ask his opinion about an emergency spay. |
I agreed with Ladymom that you need to take her to the vet. Please do not wait. |
false alarm, shes not pregnant :) thanks for all the advice guys!! |
