Who feeds primal?
 
I feed a prey model raw diet but I like to have something easy on hand for those times when I'm really busy or I forgot to take something out of the freezer. My dogs are no longer crazy about NV and I've heard some not so good things about it which has me thinking maybe I need to switch. Primal is not that easy to get around here but there is a place a half hour away that carries it so I'm thinking of making the drive. If you feed primal, are you happy with it? Why do you like it? What flavors do your dogs like best and how much do you feed them? How much is a bag?

We are just trying Primal for the first time. We bought the chicken. Camden & Crosley LOVE it & I mean love it! Wrigley isn't as wild about it & I think she is allergic to the chicken, so we will try a different formula next time.
I believe the chicken was right around $20.
We are mixing it with kibble. So we are doing 1/2 the amount for the daily amount for the raw & 1/2 for the kibble.
We are feeding them Fromm kibble.

a friend of mine uses this one and i think she gets it from amazon.com. Here is her response below

here you go: www.pawnaturaw.com i got the frozen medallions (chicken only comes that way) and the dehydrated and the dehydrated seems a lot easier and less messy! plus they only get about .5-1 tablespoon in the morning and the evening since its so rich!

I think viviansnickers feeds primal and Snick loves it...I fed primal, and loved it, but now I'm feeding Stella & Chewies, because the owner in a networking group I'm in sells it, and she's closer to my home, than the other place...She doesn't carry Primal...Primal is a great food! Btw, I believe NV does the hydrostatic process on all their frozen raw now, so no worries about the "bugs"...I'm sticking w/S&C, because I like the 1 1/2 oz. patties...good size meal for my kiddos...

I feed Primal and have fed several flavors, my boys like them all (though I've saved some novel proteins...just in case). Right now I'm feeding Duck and it was $19 for a bag. Wylie gets 2.5 nuggets a meal (he is on a wt gain diet) and Marcel gets 1 nugget per meal. :)

I feed and LOVE Primal.....HOOOT HOOOOOOT for Primal, I truly believe it is some of the BEST stuff out there for dogs. Humans can eat Primal, it is that high quality. Snickers LOVES anything I give him. His favorite is Chicken, he licks his chops when I am cutting it up for him.:D He also likes Beef and Duck. Those are the only 3 we have tried. I do give him a rotation diet of Primal in the AM and Acana kibble free fed 24/7. He gets 1 ounce nugget every morning. I think there are about 64 nuggets in a bag. Chicken runs me about $19, $18 for the beef.

Primal is one of the few pre-mades that has venison. It's excellent.
