Want to ask- Puppy teeth Hi i'd like to ask my puppy is about 7 mths old already Turning 1 on 28th Sept she is starting to shed her old puppy tooth.. i found out she tend to loose her appetite while her teeth are dropping out.. today.. her puppy canines started to drop out.. the 2 lower canines.. 1 dropped one haven't.. she isn't eating )= can anybody advise me what sort of food should i give her? (she still goes for snacks.. but not the usual meal of puppy biscuits) btw her adult teeth are already out.. so its just waiting for the puppy canines to drop off |
Lucky You are lucky the canines ar coming out. My sweetie approximately same age as yours (Sept 17) had to have all 4 canines pulled when I had her spayed on Friday last. I used mostly canned foods when her mouth was sore. I am working her back into the kibbles. She is sort of sick of them, I fear. |
yikes.. the canine are to be pulled? -_- cuz today she was bitting at my gf.. and i saw some blood on her hand no cuts on my gf's hand tho.. so i checked my puppy's tooth.. 1 came out.. the other lower on is loosened.. the two upper canines still intact and painful as ever =s should i bring her to the vet to remove them? |
Yep The rest of the baby teeth came out but those canines were hanging in there. She had 2 sets of canines, baby & big girl. The vet pulled the retained baby canines. She looked like a shark with extra rows of teeth for a while. |
Yep Forgot to mention, if the extra teeth stay in it can increase gum & tooth troubles. So it's best they go. |
feed her canned food it will be easier on her gums |
My Tia STILL has one upper canine left in and she will be 2 in July! Its very wiggley but won't budge . Its also lost its colour and I brush her teeth every day so she won't get mouth problems. I know it can't stay in much longer but don't really want her to go under just for the one tooth, we will have to see.:p |
=s gonna kill me to see her in pain >< shall seek opinion from the vet thanks for the advise guys =D will get her canned food tmrw (hopefully she doesnt get addicted to them.. or there goes my money :eyebrow2:) |
