Bully Stick Recommendations Does anyone have any good recommendations on Bully Sticks - all natural and preferably made in South America or from "green cattle" which don't stink (not sure if that is possible though)! :) Also what size do you recommend for the little ones and has anyone every tried the flossie/curly ones? I've heard good things about Merrick bully sticks but also read that they are made in the USA and cattle in the US is kept in feedlots and encouraged to grow at a much faster rate (growth hormones) than free-ranging cattle which is safer and more healthier. |
This is where I get them: Bully Sticks - All Natural Dog Treats - Best Bully Stick |
Alot of people on YT order their bully sticks from YT member "AMD" Her bully sticks don't stink. Not sure where she get them from, we are not allowed to eat them anymore :) |
Here's a thread started in the for sale section here on YT http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ml#post3094912 |
Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look into them all. :) My girl is a chewer (at that age) and teething so the Bully Sticks work wonders I found out. Got Zoey her 1st one the other day and she LOVED it but boy did it smell! I was a mean momma and threw it out after a day and a half. It was one of those 12 inch ones. To see little Zoey dragging that thing around and chewing on it was pretty cute. Might go with the smaller ones next time around though. I need to immediately replace the one I threw out or I'll be on someone's cr*p list I think. 107barney - Do you mind me asking why your dogs aren't allowed to eat them anymore? And VickyG - do the ones you get (BestBully) smell bad at all? |

Thanks Ryan! :) You can see my thread in the poll section and I explain all about my bully's. They are free range green cattle from Brazil/Argentina. They do not smell. I love them and so glad I found a reputable source so I can offer them on YT. :D |

I gave my 2 boys a Merrick bully a couple nights ago and boy did I regret it. I am sure some are not bad, but this one 12 inch I bought made my boys miserable. They threw up for 4 hours. Never again. |

My dogs are power chewers. They all go through them so fast. These that I found to sell are GREAT! They dont smell and the kids love them. I actually talked to the owner of the company and grilled him. I know everything there is to know about these bullys. :) I also give free shipping when you purchase 5. No one on the web does that (that I know of) |

I purchased mine from BaxtersMommy and am awaiting their arrival. :) Previously, I would buy Jackson the 12 inch sticks from Pet Valu and we never had any problems with them. They were about $3.80 for a 12 inch one and they didn't smell too awful (nothing like ones we've tried before). They lasted my 16lb boy about a week, but he's not a real aggressive chewer. I don't like the bully sticks from Petsmart, Petco, etc. They're usually over $5 for the 6 inch ones and he eats those sooo fast. But I will be ordering from BaxtersMommy from now on because it's the BEST price I've found (besides my Pet Valu) with free shipping, and they are odorless. |

They really don't smell too bad IMO. Not compared to the Merrick we've tried. They meet all your other criteria as well . I get the 6" thick ones. |
I get these at Best Bully when AMD is out... 6 Inch Standard Odor Free Bully Sticks | Odor Free Bully Sticks |

Thank you! If Jackson eats these fast I can get jumbo ones, they are thicker, let me know. I am knew to this so I am trying to figure out what everyone likes. :) The jumbos are about .90 cents more, so they would be 4.65. I searched the sites and most people charge $6-7 in shipping and the ones I got online were stinky. I really think mine are great quality. Thanks so much for your order, if you didn't get them today I bet you will have them Monday. |
