Hey everyone,

I know that Pedigree food is not a quality food, but am wondering if any of you have used Dentastix with success? Are they good quality and do they actually work?

:)I give Mabel Dentastix all the time! She loves them!They also fit inside the Kong toys so she loves that too. I don't know about Pedigree being a low quality food...but we have had no ill effects or vomitting and mabel has been known to be food sensitive in the past. And as for her teeth she has a pearly white set of choppers that are as sharp and deadly as pirranah teeth!:eek:

I have never used them or even read the package to see the ingredients but I feel like Pedigree uses terrible low quality ingredients in their foods so why would they use better quality ingredients in their treats? (Though if you pup is not sick from eating them that is a better sign). There are other things I like for teeth cleaning such as Merrick Flossies, Zuke's Z-ridge bones (which are made of carrots or potatos), or Terrabones (which are made with brown rice). Those are just some other natural options that I feel better about giving to my dog.

I think it depends where you live... If you live in a major city I'm sure there is a natural pet food store that would have them but if not there is always the internet. =) I'm not sure is petsmart or petco sell any of them besides flossies. Though the flossies petco sells are not "name brand" so I'm not sure of the quality for the beef being used..

That was kinda my thought. Lucas has flossies and Zuke's Z-Ridge bones as well I didn't know those were for the same thing but thats awesome! :thumbup: I'll stick with what we know I guess :)

Jackson doesn't like any teeth cleaning type of bone. He's very picky. He won't eat rawhide (which is a good thing), he won't touch anything besides bully sticks (or any sort of it, like Flossies, etc) and Himalayan chews. He's so picky! So we've never even bought the Dentastix because I know he won't like them lol.
