Sammy ate cheese!!! My two year old has just ate a 2 in X 2in X 1 in block of cheese!!! Has anyone had this happen before. If so what did you do? Any help would be great. Little dude snuck up onto the counter! |
Hi Sammy and welcome to YT! We talking about a 2 year old human or 2 year old furbaby? With the pup, watch him. It could do 2 things...clog him up or give him the runs. If it clogs him up you will want to talk to your vet about a laxative. If he gets the runs you may run the risk of dehydration...again, talk to your vet. |
Mine eat cheese all the time! |
LOL! Welcome to YT!!! I'm not for sure but would think the only harm would be that he may be a little constipated. I give mine cheese for a treat sometimes, but of course, not that size :) I think he'll be fine. ;) |
yeah, that is a lot of cheese! mine get slices occasionally and we haven't had any problems but not that large amount. |
I would just keep an eye on him and if he seems to be having trouble, Take him to the vets. |
if it is your child, constipation is definately likely. have him eat a plum or some prunes if he seems to have some trouble. if it is your puppy, i hope it doesn't give him the runs. that sucks with dogs. give him lots of water so he doesn't get dehydrated and it helps w/digestion. that's as much as i know. good luck! |
maisy LOVES cheese! |

If Kacee was ever faced with the opportunity, I'm certain she would do her darndest to get it. Mom has now learned that her little baby can now scale a mountain to get to cheese. That little one just consumed a year or two's worth of cheese treats! Shouldn't be more than a bit constipated though. At least, I hope not. That's really too bad. The vet can probably tell you more. |
Don't panic yet , Fancy , my 3 yr old yorkie ate a piece almost that big while we were entertaining on the deck a few weeks ago ( the little sneak waited till my back was turned) and she had no effect at all except maybe she didn't hog her food quite so much that evening. |
Well, first let me say WELCOME!!!! Ok, he's two, that is a lot of cheese, but he's going to be OK. He might get constipated, just keep a eye on him, have him drink lots of water, I'm sure he will be fine! :) PLease keep us posted! :D |
How is your "little dude who snuck up on the counter for a hunk a cheese" :D I am assuming you are talking about your little four legged friend :) How is he??? Hope you stick around for a while! And maybe post some pics of your little fellow!! This is a great forum to be a part of ESPECIALLY when the little rascals get into trouble and you need advice!!! Do hope you'll post again!! :) |
Bruce eats little pieces of low fat cheese all the time for special treats. It is his absolute favorite!!! Sammy should be fine but I would be careful about large quantities because of the risk of pancreatitis is these little guys ingest too much fat. Hope Sammy is feeling well! |
Glad to see mines not the only cheeky one! Leah stole a bag of Liver treats of my table! She did not feel so good that day! But just keep an eye yours and make sure that they keep up their water. :D |
