Anytime you feed them something different, even if it's a different dog food, research it FIRST. It's just good common sense. :) |

Lots of great advice, I personally don't believe in giving anything besides dog food the first 3 months, so many dog treats are even bad for them. Yorkies have week intestinal systems anyway, and they don't do well on new foods. Allergies won't show up till after a year, but I believe the less variety the first year the better. Lots of human studies show that babies are less likely to develop allergies if their diets are limited the first year. I know you want to show your love through food, most of us do anyway, but it's really not good for your dog. I did use unsweetened Cheerios for training purposes when Joey was about 3 months old, and he had no trouble with them. |
I do give Cerise goat yogurt and have occasionally given her a tablespoon of goats milk and she has not had any problems from it. I only drink goats milk and eat goat yogurt. She also likes the goat cheese. Goats milk and diary products are not the same as Cows. They are the healthy alternative and are digestible. |

Only at Whole Foods or other specialty grocery stores here. The goat yogurt is delicious and I use the milk with my cereal and in place of cows milk for baking. |
I think milk would only be dangerous if the dog was lactose intolerant, right? |
