Please tell me what veggies are okay for my babies I read that alot of you are giving carrots and green beans to you boil first? Do the pups have to be a certain age to start eating them? Thanks Shauna |
I give green beans... I just buy them frozen and defrost them for 30 seconds or so in the microwave. Not sure on the age, mine are 1 and 2.5 and I just started giving them recently. |
If you use the frozen ones, which I do, all you do it put them in the micro for 3-4 mins depending on how many your cooking. Add alittle bit of water. As for carrots, I only now feed peas and carrots and cook the same way. After reading that a Yorkie got a baby carrot stuck in his windpipe and and needed surgery on it no more of these for Bud. If you do feed raw carrots be sure to cut them in tiny pieces so nothing can get stuck. |
I give raw carrots, green beans and apple. He wasn't fond of bananas & oranges |
Are all types of apples fine? Do you think canned green beans would be okay or should i just wait and buy the frozen? |

Canned veggies have way too much salt unless you can find the ones with no salt added. Also baby food for juniors would be good. There is no salt or very little in baby food. |
We give steamed green beans, carrots, and broccoli from time to time. |
great thanks for the info. I will just wait and purchase the frozen ones. |
