emergency! please help! guys im desperate, my year and a half 4 IB baby had her vaccines on sunday and i just got home and shes been throwing up shes only sleeping and no eating, shes never like this. she wasnt even happy to see me when i got home. when she got the shots the vet said she shouldnt throw up and if she happened to then i should take her to the emg room, should i??? |
YES go! |
Better safe than sorry, besides, if you don't, you'll be worrying all night long!! At least call and see what they say!!!! |
i called like 6 vets and they all say that its not the vaccines, is it lil normal to react like that after tho? cuz 3 vets said its okay she mightve just had a reaction or she prlly ate something bad and then the other 3 said to take her immediately .. has it happened to anyone> |
Nala had a lil diarreah after one, but they said it was a common effect and there were no other signs like not eating or lethargy. I'd definitely take her in since 3 vets are telling you to. |
thank u so much guys !uve been super helpful |

Immediately or up to 3 days after the shot: Vomiting Facial swelling Fever or lethargy Circulatory shock Loss of consciousness Death If your dog vomits, has the runs repeatedly, itches all over, can't breathe, her face swells or legs swell up or if she collapse go to the vet asap. Your vet will probably administer a steroid shot that may save her life but may also give her lifelong steroid related immune problems. You'll find most vets are ignorant where vaccines are concerned. Did the vet administer more than one vaccine or several? If it was several or a combo that is never good, especially on a small dog.... Report any reactions you believe might be linked to any shot to your vet immediately. Make sure it goes in your dog's file and get a copy. You may someday need to apply for a vaccination exemption. I hope everything is alright...... |
This might be a stupid question but... She was given benadryl before the shot was given, right? I think the worst Magnus had was bit of soreness around the area of the shot and maybe slight diarrhea. I hope she gets better soon. |

Her other injections were ok, but rather be safe than sorry and get your dog there as soon as you can. Taylor's problem was primarily from the stress of leaving her mother WAY too soon and she couldnt eat bcos she had no teeth and wasn't weaned properly (irresponsible breeder) but the injection didnt sit well with her either so take your baby in and get her checked out. |
well guys thanks again for all ur help and advice, i took bella to the vet and she is actually okay she just reacted to the vaccines but the vet said it was normal. shes fine now :0 thanks agaiN! |
