Do spayed females mark? Katie seems to be doing it. :confused: I woke up early today and decided to take her out (after she had already gone on her pad inside). She peed so many times and there was barely a drop coming out each time. she also lifts her leg when she's marking! But squats the regular way when actually peeing. Do girls do this? Or is she confused. I'm confused. btw, she's doing good after her surgery and she doesn't have uti. |
I have a lil girl that does this also. I am glad that I am not the only one, I like to think that she is just marking her territory as she only does it outside:) |
Katie does it inside too. :( But she does it 1000x more outside, so that is what I'm thinking. Does she lift her leg too? |
Yes she does lift the leg sometimes. The older she gets it seems to be less and less. I don't know about theses silly girls:rolleyes:. |
I once had a yorkie-poo that marked. I thought it might have been because I waited until after her first heat to get her spayed. |
Bella is spayed & almost 3 yrs old. I've noticed she only marks outside. You can tell because she squats for only a few seconds in different places outside. She uses puppy pad inside. She was also spayed after her first heat. |
Years ago, Becca learned to go potty by watching Alexander. :p She always hiked her little leg to go pee after that, and yes - she also did it to mark when we were out on walks, etc. :rolleyes: |
Yep - my mom's cockapoo (RIP) used to mark all over the place. She would kinda squat and lift her leg a little bit at the same time and she would do it all over the place. My dad's female jack russell does it too but not as much as the cockapoo did. |
Our female Airedale marked outside and lifted her leg to do it. |
We call it P-Mail. :D Sadie checks everyone elses and leaves her own! Girls I've had in the past have done it too - but pretty much only outside. |
Wow, ok this is too funny. I didn't know so many girls did it. Since katie is a foster, I don't know when she was spayed, but that she has been. I guess she's trying to overwrite Uni's marks. :D Outside I notice Katie goes in the same places as Uni marks. |
Oh gosh yes they do! Our Long hair Dachshund we had for a million years was so BAD about it. She would lift her leg and try to pee and sometimes NOTHING was coming out. Chicks, what do you do?! lol! |
In nature , wild female animals do it all the time . |
Teddi does this every morning....when we go for a walk she does about 8 pees (but I think that the pee only comes out on the first 2) and after that she smells and squats but nothing comes out. |
