What should I DO?????? Ok,I need some advise. I finally got my one year old yorkie nuetered and the vet said he could still have sperm for up to 30 days. So his full sister but not same litter is in heat and it is a pain for them to be separated. I am not concern about pregnancy since it has been 30 days but he is, of course ,still interested and trying to mound. I know his testerone is still in his body and have heard it will be for at least 6 months. So my question is.....will he still mound her when she comes in heat again? He has never been bred and so if I keep them apart so he will not mound and maybe tie, maybe by next heat period he will not be that way. Is it worth the effect to keep them apart for now so that he will not experience breeding until his testerone is gone???? |
Yes, he can still be interested and still tie with her even if neutered. My neutered male once tied with my female in heat. So I had to keep him seperated from her when she was in heat. Are you going to spay your female? that would eliminate the whole problem. |
No, My mentor is going to be breeding her. She is 5.2lbs and has good bloodline and comformation. I am not breeding her this time. She just turned 2 years old. So if it doesn't matter then I quess no need to separate them. It is really hard to keep them apart. They really love each other right now.lol |
Oh My.....don't watch tv and write a thread!!!! I meant mount my female not mound :D |
