Any suggestions on calming drops? Bilbo still is not comfortable riding in the car, regardless of the distance. He pants, whines and drools, although he doesn't get sick as often. Does anyone have suggestions for herbal calming drops? |
Rescue Remedy! It relieves stress :) Just spray on your finger tips and rub on his ears. You can buy the regular one for humans. The one packaged for dogs is the same stuff marketed to people who want the box to say for dogs. Or add some drops to his drinking water. The ears work faster. |
I know someone who swears by happytails Sleepytime Tonic. |
Thanks for the suggestions--I'm going to get the Rescue Remedy first since I've actually seen it in local stores. Living here on the edge of the sticks, sometimes it's hard to find all the products I'd love to try. |
rescue remedy all the way... works amazing and is safe. We get teh drops so we can control how much comes out of and and put it in her mouth. Good luck |
Thanks I have the same problem with Buddy, he pants, licks, and trembles in the car...we've tried everything thinking it was a training issue. He loves to be in the car when it's not moving, but once it's moving he turns into this trembling panting pup! I might give the drops a try too. I'm ready to do just about anything to give him less stress...and too, after we are done with the ride/travel, he doesn't eat normally for a few days. DO you think the motion sickness (without vomitting) could keep his tummy so upset? |
