Sleeping sounds Maybe I am too concerned, but I was wondering if it's normal for dogs to make sounds when they are sleeping? I can't help but feel like they are trying too hard to breath and there may be a problem. Just wondering. Thanks |
They're probably dreaming. Kaji has fits sometimes when he's asleep. He's known to sleep bark too! He breathes hard when he's "chasing", his little legs twitch too. |
Peanut does it too!! He also snores!! One morning DH thought it was me LOL!! He will also move his lips and make little noises and twitch his legs.. Pretty sure its all normal. Oh and he will have doggy nightmares! He will move a whole bunch and make little whiny noises... then I will have to wake him up haha |
Is it snoring? If yes, sometimes snoring can be rather benign...but other times, as w/ humans, snoring can mean other issues too. But like others mentioned, could be dreaming too - both my boys dream :). |
The first time I saw Sandy making some noises and his legs twitched when he was sleeping in my arms, I was horrified! I was thinking what's wrong with him. Later I found out dogs dream too like human do :) |
Most likely due to dreaming. Kinda makes you wonder what they dream about? |
Duke does the same too...snores and make noises |
I think Oreo had a nightmare last night, his bed is right beside our bed. He made a loud noise in his sleep...scared us to death so we put him in bed with us. He was fine after that. Oh and he does snore from time to time. |
Cody has night mares, he'll whine or whimper, I'll lay my hand on him and he'll stop. My boy does not snore. Snoring I always believed was due from them being in a deep contented sleep. |
