I have pretty much mastered my cooking on weekends and freezing for the week plan. I've been doing it for many years now because of being single and hate cooking meals after work during the week. Also I hate commercial/process frozen foods. I too haven't noticed and taste changes. My lunches and dinners taste great warmed up. Freezer burn happens to things left in the freezer too long or not froze properly. I also eat what I cook within the month I cooked it.

I just prepared this weeks meals for Cerise yesterday, and froze them individually last night.
I think you're right on the sauce causing the problem with pasta dishes - especially tomato based sauces. It just never occured to me to freeze the pasta separately - I'm going to try that. I've been cooking for the week ahead for years, too. And for the same reasons. :)

It works out good. I put my serving sizes in individual small freezer bags. I know they aren't environmentally friendly but you can wash and reuse them because it's not meat (if they don't get torn) I have freezer bowls for my sauces and other dishes. I also sit the bag out in the morning at work and by lunch time the rice or pasta is thawed out.

Oh, boy. I've read this thread and I'm so confused about what to feed my dogs.

First of all, they enjoy baked chicken. I feed the about twelve small pieces three times a day. I also give them sweet potato wrapped in duck for snacks. They seem to do well on this diet. Then, I read that wasn't healthy for them. Too much protein. So I bought a bag of Bountiful low cal kibble with all the veggies in it. I bought Beef and Salmon and mixed it up. They snacked on it. Then they started throwing it up.

I had their teeth cleaned today, and the vet urged me to find some food with other nutrients that would suppliment the chicken. I'm at a loss. It's like being on a carousel and not ever being able to get off.

Tell me what works for your dogs. What do you think is nourishing for my two baby doll Yorkies?:aimeeyork:aimeeyork

I buy their Vitamins and Supplements and make a home made diet.

I get them from that site. 3/8 teaspoon daily each for my 2 (they are 5 and 7 lbs)
