Kind of a Wierd Embarrasing question Well hey everyone, I want to start out by saying that this is quite an embarissing question but i must ask it. I have friend who i have known for 17 yrs now and we grew up our whoel lives together well to cut a long story short he had unprotected sex with a girl and her ex b.f gave her herpes and then she told my friend after they had intercourse a few months later...... now i dont wanna treat my friend any different besides the things i must do to protect my health..... but im worried about my little furbaby what if she runs up and licks his face or his mouth and then after cines and licks mine you know its just kindascaring me and i hate having to push her away until he leaves to brush her teath and she hates me brushing them but i feel like i cant kiss ehr until her mouth is clean and i dont want my friend to see me doing it you kno ...:( AND THANKS FOR ALL THE WORDS OF WISDOM BEFORE HAND |
I googled your question and according to most of the sources I found, canines cannot contract human herpes, so I'm assuming they cannot pass it along either. Dogs have their own strain of herpes. |
You bring up a very good subject. While my Joey and Cabella are not lickers and kissers, (Joey gives hugs, Cabella could care less). I think it would be a good idea to start training to not give kisses, except to you, of course. I don't know how hard it would be, but with all of the illness, flu etc going around, could be a good idea, then we would have one less thing to worry about as they give us enought to worry about on their own.HEHE!!! I hope your friend gets his under control. My EX son in law, had an affair and that was his present from her. I was totally scared to death for my grandsons. My step-daughter allowed him to stay at her house with then on the nights she worked and for a long time, I was really concerned about this, but unless they are in a flair up situation, its pretty safe if they use precaution. Reason he is my EX son in law. |
Dogs cannot contract human herpes, and the herpes virus cannot live outside the body. Otherwise we'd be picking it up from water glasses, etc. They are not like cold germs, which can live for a while on surfaces like door handles, or be transmitted in the air. So your dog can't get it, and can't pass it to you. You're safe. :) |
