All is well after spay Bijou had her surgery today and she's doing wonderfully. She's in some pain but on pain meds too. Thought I'd post a positive experience to those considering a spay. Please pray that she continues to do well. Thanks |

So glad to hear that Bijou is doing well. Thanks for the positive news. I just set Tessie's spay appointment today for March 9th. I am very nervous and the positive news helps. I'll definitely keep Bijou in my prayers for a quick & painless recovery :) |
Great news! Wishes and Prayers for a speedy recovery! |
So glad all went well. Praying for a quick recovery. |
Thanks for the update, and I'm glad all is going well. We Yorkie owners are worrywarts! |
Oh, thats wonderful she did so well, hpe she feels better soon!!!!!! We are worrywarts arent we????? |
I am glad she is doing good. I hope and pray she heals quick.:animal-pa |
thank you thank you for the positive update on your baby's surgery. I have to schedule my baby in next month and I'm so nervous...I love her sooo much i don't want to see her in any pain:( thank you for sharing your post.. I hope it gives me strength through her month to come:) |
Thank you everyone!!! She's in some pain today, though I know it's expected I hate seeing her like that. I want to hold her and kiss away the pain, but I know it hurts her to be held too so I'm trying to make her stay in her xpen and rest, but Bijou is a go, go, go type of pup LOL I've got a call in to the vet to see if I should / could pick up some different pain meds. Right now she gets 1/4 a tablet of a 25 mg tablet of Deramaxx once a day. I'm wondering if they can give her something else too. I hate being a worry-wart to them, but I want my baby less painful...hope that makes sense. I swear I don't know how anyone does this and doesn't get pain medicines for their babies. Thanks for listening to me rant. |
awww, glad that she did well. Maggie May needed pain meds the first night but then she was fine after that. She was a little quiet for another day and then she was her little terror self again! Big gentle hugs to Bijou. :) |
Sending get well wishes for your little one.:getwellso Hope she feels better as the day goes on. Hugs, |
Thank you! I just got off the phone with the vet tech. She said that today will be the worst pain-wise and that as long as she's eating and walking around (which she is) they really don't want to put more medicines into her little system. Said the best thing for her is rest so I have to put on my strict mommy hat and make her stay in the x-pen. Thank you for all the well wishes Bijou and I appreciate them! |
Glad to hear she is doing well. Sophie bounced right back after a couple of days, and I'm sure your baby will too!!! Good luck!!! |
Glad to hear all is well! Praying for a speedy recovery! |

I think we need these too! Glad to hear your girl is doing good and wishing her a speedy recovery.:) |
great news! so glad to hear that all went well with her surgery. I am planning to have Molly's surgery next month and have been nervous about the decision. It's good to hear some positive news!:) |
Glad to her she is doing well! My little girl Hailey got spayed last month, and she did well also. I too had her oon pain meds, she was a little tired the first few days, but then was back to her spunky self after that. She also did not mind the collar to keep from licking her stitches. Now she is all healed up! Hope she continues to do well! |
Glad to hear it went well! Roxie had hers last week and wasn't given any pain meds afterward. She spent a lot of time sleeping for the first 2-3 days and really is back to her old self now. |
Bijou's pretty much back to her old self this morning. So to those considering a spay / neuter it was about 4 days and she's her bouncy self again. I'm very surprised that she's done so well since she seemed very painful the first few days. Thank you all for all the kind well wishes! |
